Our Lead Pastors
PASTORS JARED & TRINH ELLIS
Jared & Trinh are the Lead Pastors of E2 Church in Elk Grove, California. Our lead Pastors have a heart to spread the message of Jesus that is easy to understand while also providing a fresh word for others.
Jared Ellis is a pastor, communicator, songwriter and author. As the Senior Pastor of E2 Church in Sacramento, CA, he has helped grow the church-plant into a rapidly growing, next-generation movement. Through E2 Worship, he has written and released original music across multiple albums.
With over 19 years of ministry experience, he has worked at some of the most influential churches and movements in the world. He holds a degree from Ecclesia College in Practical Ministry and Christian Leadership and is the author of Yes: Simple Response, Radical Results, Faith Journey Exponential: A Discipleship Guide and his latest book, How To Become A Prayer Warrior.
He and his wife, Trinh, are happily married and live in Sacramento, CA, where they lead their church together.
Trinh Ellis graduated from UCLA with a BA in Sociology and spent the majority of her career in the business world. Working with high-powered companies, Trinh got her experience of leading and managing organizations which ultimately led her to launch her own businesses back home in Sacramento. In 2021, Trinh felt the call to leave the public sector and enter into full-time ministry with her husband, Pastor Jared.
Both Pastor Jared and Trinh have a passion for Elk Grove, Sacramento and the region of Northern California to experience a next-generation church that will teach the Bible, reach the lost and make a difference in their community.

The Bible: We believe that the Scriptures, both the Old and New Testament, are the infallible and inerrant Word of God. We believe the Bible is completely relevant today for every area of the human experience; it is living and active. The Bible is our exclusive authority for faith, lifestyle, teaching, doctrine and ministry. It is to be believed, practiced, trusted, and hoped in.
(1 Cor. 2:13; 2 Tim. 3:16; Heb. 4:12; 2 Pet. 1:21)
-
The Trinity: We believe that there is One true God: the eternal and self-existing “I AM.” He has revealed Himself to us in three Persons: the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit. We believe that all persons of the Trinity are co-eternal, co-equal, yet unique in function.
(Ex. 3:14; Deut. 6:4; Isa. 43:10, 11; Matt. 28; Jn. 8:58; 2 Cor. 13:14)
-
The Fall: We believe that humanity was created in the image of God but voluntarily sinned when tempted by Satan. Sin is willful transgression of the law of God and deserves death. Through The Fall, all humanity incurred physical and spiritual death, which is separation from God, and are now in need of salvation. Those who refuse the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ will be judged and given over to eternal punishment. Those who believe upon the Lord Jesus will be saved and spend eternity with God. Heaven and hell are real places of eternal existence.
(Ge. 1:26, 27; 2:17; 3:6; Rom. 5:12-19; Mt. 25:46; Mark 9:43-48; Rev. 19:20; 20:11-15; 21:8)
-
Salvation: We believe that all of mankind is in need of salvation, which comes exclusively by God’s grace through faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ: His identity as the Son of God who is fully God and fully man, His perfect life on earth, His unjust death on a cross as payment for sin, His resurrection on the third day, and His ascension to the right hand of the Father. Those who receive salvation by grace through faith are born again by the Holy Spirit, justified, regenerated, adopted into the family of God, made heirs of God and joint-heirs with Christ, filled with the Holy Spirit, and are partakers of eternal life to come.
(John 3:3; Acts 4:12; Eph. 1:7; Rom. 5:10; 8:14-17; 10:9-10; Titus 3:5-6)
-
Water Baptism & Communion: We believe that after Salvation, Christ commands believers to be water-baptized as a public declaration of the inward work of repentance. While water-baptism is not salvific in itself, it is an act of obedience that every Christian must fulfill. We believe that water-baptism is reserved for those who are at the “age of accountability” where they are able to articulate their consciousness of personal sin, their need for a savior and their decision to follow Christ.
Christ also commands believers to regularly remember His work on the cross through the taking of Holy Communion.
(Matt. 28:18-20; Mk. 14:22-25; Acts 2:38-41; Eph. 4:4-6; Gal. 3:27; Rom. 6:1-4; Col. 2:9-13; 1 Cor. 11:26; 23-30)
-
The Church: We believe that the Church is the Bride and Body of believers in Jesus Christ, who is its Head. The local church is a gathering place for that Body of Believers to minister to God and to others, while its doors are always wide open to anyone and everyone who is searching for God. We believe the Church is a pillar of truth, a light to the world and an agent of change for the broken.
(Mt. 16:18; Mt. 22:9-11, 1 Cor. 12:13; Rom. 5:1, 5; Eph. 1:22-23; 4:11-17; 5:27; Rev. 2-3)
-
Christ’s Return: We believe in the bodily and glorious return of Jesus Christ. When He returns, he will resurrect the dead. Christ will judge the righteous and the unrighteous, renew the earth, and reign as King forever. We believe that God is creating a New Heaven and a New Earth where believers will dwell forever with God. The imminent coming of Christ should inspire Godly living and commitment to the mission of the Gospel.
(Isa. 65:17; Mt. 24:30; Acts 1:11; 1 Cor. 15:50-54; 1 Thess. 4:16-17; Rev. 19:11-22:21)
